Machig Labdron (Art Print) – Leslie Rinchen-Wongmo
Machig Labdron lived in Tibet in the 11th century.
A mother herself and inspired by the Great Mother, Perfection of Wisdom, Machig developed the Chöd practice, which invokes and nurtures the very ‘demons’ we fear and hate, transforming reactive emotions into love.
Intelligent, courageous, and illuminated, she is the only Tibetan – male or female – to have initiated a distinct tradition that spread back into India, the motherland of Buddhism.
