Durga – Faith Stone
Mixed media: Hand carved moku hanga (Japanese style wood block), hand rubbed for printing, and watercolor painting on Thai Mulberry paper.
Durga is the remover of suffering. She’s also a protector Goddess. With 8 arms, she holds a bow and arrow, conch shell, coconut, trident, sword, discus, and club while her right hand is raised in the blessings mudra. Durga is usually astride a lion or tiger. I gave her a mountain lion for the Colorado West.
Size: 11″ x 14″ (28cm x 36cm).
