Vajra Bhairava, King of the Lord of Death (Sanskrit: Yamantaka), who leads us always and loves us ever, brandishes the epic weaponry of the realizations of indivisible bliss-wisdom, which completely vanquish all forms of ignorant anger and aversion in the practitioner. He is surrounded by a blazing mass of golden wisdom-fire. Directly above him in the centre is Lord Manjushri, Buddha of Wisdom. Next to Lord Manjushri, on the viewer’s left is the Precious Lord, Lama Tsongkapa (1357-1419); on the other side and to the viewer’s right we see Holy Lobsang Chukyi Gyeltsen, His Holiness the First Panchen Lama.
