Materials: Silk, horsehair, turquoise, coral, beads.
Techniques: Ink jet photo print on canvas & Tibetan appliqué.
Dimensions: 30″ x 19″ (77 x 48 cm).
Based on a photograph by Diane Barker. The figures of a nomadic mother and child in a tent in eastern Tibet are hand-stitched with traditional techniques and then superimposed on the photo printed on cotton canvas.
The finished work is stretched on a rigid wooden frame.
