Rainbow Body – Barbara Berry

Graphite, colored pencil and acrylic on mylar. 25” x 27”, 2018.

This drawing is composed of layers of frosted mylar that, after being drawn on with graphite, are glued together. These layers create depth, interplay and overlap in the images. Finally colorful shapes of poured acrylic paint and collaged paper are placed on top of the pencil drawing, creating a further relationship and contrast to the delicacy of the image.
